The Atelier — Sentenac House Interiors
The Atelier

The house behind the name.

A boutique design atelier rooted in heritage, family, and craft — authored by Nohea Sentenac and a team of six holding one exacting standard.

i. The Name

Where it all began.

Sentenac — pronounced "sen-teh-NAHK" — is a small medieval village in the Ariège region of the French Pyrénées. Stone houses, narrow streets, mountain air, and a way of living tied to the land and the seasons. It's where my husband's family is from, three generations back, before they crossed the ocean to build a life in America.

I've never been. But when it came time to name the studio, nothing else felt right.

This work is about legacy, heirloom, and the idea that the things we build now will be the inheritance someone else remembers. Sentenac House is not just a name — it's a lineage.

"Homes are made of stories. The best ones hold the past without announcing it."

ii. The Founder

Nohea Sentenac

Owner & Principal Designer

I started rearranging rooms when I was four, and sketching floor plans by eleven. Design was the first language I learned to think in — before words for it existed, the rooms in my head already had moods.

Twelve years in the corporate world followed — leading marketing teams, building systems, learning how a real business actually runs. I didn't know it at the time, but I was earning the structure I'd need to build a studio that could hold custom work without falling apart under it.

Sentenac House Interiors is the studio I wished existed: deeply custom, slowly authored, family-first, and built around heirloom craft instead of trend cycles. My role here is creative direction — the concepts, the standards, the final approvals, the voice. My team carries the rest, so I can keep doing what I'm here to do: see the home a family can't yet picture, and build it one custom piece at a time.

We are a family business rooted in faith. We design with reverence — for the past, for craftsmanship, for the people who will live in the rooms we make. We are not for everyone. We are for the family willing to wait for the right thing.

iii. What We Believe

Six things we won't compromise.

i.

Uniqueness

No client gets a room someone else could have. Custom is the default — not the upsell.

ii.

Integrity

We price what the work is worth. We say what we mean. We stand behind every install.

iii.

Faith

This studio is a calling. We lead with prayer, patience, and trust — and design with reverence.

iv.

Family

We design for the people who live there. Not the people who'll see it on Instagram.

v.

Legacy

Materials, craftsmanship, and finish that still feel right twenty years from now.

vi.

Stewardship

Of our clients' money, our team's time, the land we build on, and the gifts we've been given.

iv. The Studio

Meet the team.

Small, deliberate, and built around the work. Six people carrying one standard.

Nohea Sentenac
Owner & Principal Designer
Creative Director and face of the studio. Authors every Signature project, sets the standard our designers carry forward, and protects the brand from the inside out. Twenty-plus years arranging rooms, twelve in corporate operations, and a calling she's been answering since she was four.
Meredith
Chief Operating Officer
The operating system of Sentenac House. Holds project timelines, vendor relationships, team accountability, and studio finances in a quiet, structured grip. Frees Nohea to lead creatively by handling the architecture of how the business actually runs.
Patricia
Architect
Translates the concept into the build. Architectural drafting, technical drawings, elevations, and the construction-side coordination that lets a custom millwork moment actually get built. The reason the renderings match the reveal.
Kimberly
Procurement & Logistics
Every commissioned piece, every artisan sourcing trail, every freight tracker and receiving dock and install-day schedule. Kimberly is the reason a one-of-one antique from a market in Texas arrives in Arizona on the right day, intact, and ready to be styled.
Senior Designer
Studio Edit Lead
Leads our Studio Edit tier projects, executing under Nohea's creative direction. Multi-room and major spaces. Custom and curated, balanced. A seasoned designer who can carry the Sentenac House standard without supervision — joining the studio in 2027.
Junior Designer
Jr Studio Lead
Leads Jr Studio tier projects — the entry point into the practice. Formula-strict, trade-library-curated, light on custom. Builds the bench of future signature designers from the inside — joining the studio in 2027.
v. What's Next

A studio of our own.

By appointment, by application, by invitation only. A working atelier — design library, sample storage, presentation room, workroom — opening in 2027 on property. Not retail. Not open to the public. A place to bring the clients we're already working with into the rooms where we make their homes.

Begin a Project

We take twelve to twenty projects a year. Every client starts with our pre-consultation application — a slow, generous conversation about your home, family, and the way you want to live. If we're a fit, we book a 45-minute consult with Nohea.

Our project floor is a $25,000 total investment minimum.
If that isn't right for you yet — bookmark us. We'll be here.
