A classic Arcadia ranch where every room gets to speak in its own voice.

The bones of this house were good — classic Arizona ranch with Spanish exterior, solid mid-century proportions, rooms that flowed naturally. The renovation brief was to keep those bones timeless: classic paint colors, clean tile, smart millwork and built-ins. Nothing trendy. Nothing that would date itself in five years.

Then came the styling — and that's where we let personality loose. Traditional grounded the living spaces. Glam elevated the finishes. Mid-century wove through to honor the home's era and the homeowner's existing pieces. Each bedroom got its own themed identity — not matching, but harmonious. The kind of layered eclecticism that feels collected, not catalog.

The result: a home that reads timeless from the street and expressive once you're inside. Renovation decisions made for longevity. Styling decisions made for joy. That balance — timeless structure, personal expression — is what Studio Edit projects do best.

"Nohea helped me transform a property that needed a complete refresh. The decision process was so fun and easy, giving me different options that would fit within my budget. I couldn't wait to see the concept proposals as we went from room to room. With Nohea's knowledge and experience, I was able to completely reimagine the space in less than 5 months. I am so grateful to have had Nohea help me throughout this process and cannot recommend her highly enough!"

What made this Studio Edit —
not just a renovation refresh.

Timeless Renovation Bones

The renovation decisions — paint, tile, millwork, built-ins — were chosen to last decades. Classic white trim. Clean subway tile. Simple millwork proportions. Nothing trendy. Nothing that would date itself in five years. That restraint in the bones gave us room to layer personality everywhere else without the house feeling chaotic.

Layered Design Voices

Traditional grounded it. Glam elevated it. Mid-century wove through it. Most designers would pick one lane and stay there. We let all three voices speak — not fighting each other, but harmonizing. The trick: traditional anchored the major pieces, glam came in through finishes and lighting, mid-century showed up in accent furniture. Layered, not mixed.

Each Bedroom Gets Its Own Character

We didn't style every bedroom the same. Each one got a distinct themed identity — different color stories, different moods, different personalities. Not so different that they clash, but enough variation that each room feels like its own destination. That's the Studio Edit approach: cohesion without repetition.

Budget-Conscious Curation

This project had real budget constraints — which is exactly what Studio Edit projects navigate well. We integrated the homeowner's existing furniture where it worked. We sourced new pieces strategically. We invested in renovation quality (tile, millwork) and styled smartly (accessories, textiles, lighting). High impact without high waste.

Fast Timeline Without Cutting Corners

Five months from start to fully styled. That speed came from clear decisions and smart sequencing — not from cutting corners. Renovation work first. Furniture ordered early. Styling layered as pieces arrived. The timeline was tight, but the quality didn't suffer. That efficiency is what Studio Edit delivers.

Honoring the Architecture

Classic Arizona ranch with Spanish exterior — that was the starting point, and we honored it. We didn't try to make it something it wasn't. We preserved the mid-century proportions, worked with the Spanish exterior character, and let the renovation enhance what was already there rather than fighting it. Respect for the bones, personality in the styling.
